Hang in there

Title of the project: Metal Cluster Matter Wave Interferometry
Name of the VDSP student(s) & image credits: Sebastian Pedalino, Bruno Ramirez & Josef Reisinger
Project supervised by: Markus Arndt

About me/us: We are two Phd students working on the same experiment, the longbaseline universal matterwave interferometer (LUMI). In our laboratories we are exploring the limits of quantum mechanics via near-field matterwave interferometry. While Bruno has just started his PhD, Sebastian is already approaching the end of his. Besides of being good partners in the labs we also became good friends, which makes research even more enjoyable.

Image: In experimental physics, it's not uncommon to see two generations of PhD students collaborating on an experiment. While time in the lab can get tough, one should not forget to also enjoy the time with your colleagues while trying to hang in there with the experiment. A playful scene that reflects dedication and curiosity in a different light.
