To discover more about the typical work environment and job profiles for highly qualified PhD graduates, twice a year the VDSP students organize a one-/two-day excursion to potential employers in the private sector, NGOs and to research institutions in Austria and neighbouring countries.

Past excursions included Infineon AG, MedAustron, ZKW Group, Anton Paar, Kreisel Electric, the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) and the office of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBTO).
