The VDSP offers selected Master students to be immersed in real-world research with experts in their field for 2-6 months. The 2026 program is already filled and closed. We expect the next call to open in November 2026.

Please note:

• This call is for students in the master program, after their Bachelors and before starting a PhD
• The call is intended to support mobility: we accept applications from all around the world, and also from Austria but not from students enrolled at the University of Vienna.

Successful applicants benefit from:

• Subsistence costs (work contract with the University of Vienna): 20h/week, Salary Group C
• For non-local students* additionally: the expenses of your travel to and from Vienna will be (partially) reimbursed by the hosting research group
