VDSP students learn by the

• Pursuit of their own research,
• Interaction with peers,
• Exchange with mentors,
• Advanced courses,
• As well as through their own teaching.

All doctoral candidates enroll in the doctoral study programme in physics (SPL52) where they can profit from courses offered to all graduate students, at the PhD level and i.a. at the MSc level, with a diverse selection of topics taught by experts in the field.

In addition, the VDSP offers a rich set of

• Complementary skills training,
• Regular seminars and lunch meetings,
• Excursions to potential employers and 
• Stays at famous research institutions in neighbouring countries.
