We are happy to invite you to the VDSP Science Day 2021!
The VDSP Science Day is organized by and for doctoral students in Physics for which we invite experts from various fields in the Natural Sciences to introduce their work and to take part in discussions with the VDSP students and faculty.
As international guest speakers we are happy to welcome
- Prof. Dr. Ute Kaiser, Electron Microscopy Group of Materials Science (Ulm University) | "Insights in the happy marriage of low-dimensional materials and low voltage transmission electron microscopy to see atoms at work", Abstract
- Prof. Dr. Arno Rauschenbeutel, Fundamentals of Optics and Photonics (HU Berlin) | "Atoms and light - a pairing that will surprise you", Abstract
Inbetween the talks some entertaining outdoor activities will allow for intradisciplinary exchange between the VDSP students.
We will do our best to allow as many participants as possible to join the event in person. For participants who prefer to attend the event online we will provide the possibility to join the talks via streaming.
We kindly ask you for your understanding and cooperation to make the event as safe as possible for everyone to attend. In particular, participants who wish to attend the event in person will have to provide a valid access test (2.5G) on the day and wear an FFP2 face mask at all times.
