The AKW Zwentendorf is the only nuclear power plant in the world that has been completed, but has never been put into operation - due to a national referendum of Austrians.
Today it is used as a training location, since areas are easily accessible to humans that could otherwise only be reached under strict safety precautions due to high levels of radioactivity. Therefore, maintenance, repair, and decommissioning work can be practiced under realistic conditions.
