On Sunday, 19 April, the whole city was in motion as the 43rd Vienna City Marathon took place. The VDSP Running Society was proud to be part of it, with several doctoral students from the Faculty of Physics participating in both the full marathon and half marathon distances.
The runners successfully completed the 42.2 km and 21.1 km courses, achieving excellent results along the way. A particular highlight was the outstanding performance of Hannah Foltas, a PhD student in Prof. Borivoje Dakic’s Operational Quantum Information group and a member of the VDSP Running Society, who finished 4th in the women’s half marathon ranking with an impressive time of 1:20:42!
We warmly congratulate Hannah and all participating runners on their achievements!
